Kohat:Armed dacoits looted approximately Rs 4.7 million from a branch of a local bank in the Bilitang area of Kohat on Thursday, police sources said.
According to initial reports, unidentified armed men entered the bank branch and fled after taking away cash amounting to Rs 4,706,150. The incident created panic among bank staff and customers present at the premises.
Soon after receiving information, police reached the scene and launched an investigation. Law enforcement officials collected evidence and recorded statements from witnesses to ascertain the circumstances of the robbery.
Efforts are underway to trace and apprehend the suspects. Police have also reviewed available evidence and initiated a search operation in the area.
