RAWALPINDI:Rawalpindi Waste Management Company (RWMC) on Monday distributed two cheques worth Rs 8 million to two sanitary workers’ widows who died during duty.
According to RWMC spokesman, Chief Executive Officer(CEO) Rana Sajid Safdar gave a cheque of Rs 5 mln to the widow of Rohat while a cheque of Rs 3 mln was handed over to the wife of Muhammad Razaq during a ceremony.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that sanitary workers are valuable assets of RWMC who perform their duties despite holidays, epidemics, rains, and others, adding that their problems would be resolved on priority.
