Nathiagali: The district administration on Friday has imposed Section 144 in the Galiyat region, enforcing a complete ban on all types of commercial and other construction activities for a period of two months.
According to an official notification issued by the Deputy Commissioner Abbottabad, the decision has been taken in compliance with the directives of the Peshawar High Court and the recommendations of a committee constituted by the Commissioner Hazara Division.
The order states that no new construction or expansion work of any kind will be allowed in the Galiyat area during the ban period. The move aims to preserve the region’s natural beauty, maintain ecological balance, and prevent haphazard and unregulated construction in the sensitive tourist zone.
The district administration has directed all relevant departments and stakeholders to ensure strict implementation of the orders. It has been warned that violators will face strict legal action under the relevant laws.
