Larkana: Secretary of the Department of Rehabilitation and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (DEPD), Sindh, Taha Ahmed Farooqi visited the under-construction rehabilitation centers in Larkana and Sukkur and carried out a detailed review of the ongoing construction work on Friday.
Secretary DEPD Taha Ahmed Farooqi, accompanied by Deputy Commissioner Larkana Tariq Manzoor Chandio, Regional Director DEPD Larkana Zahida Ghous Kakipoto, Deputy Director Saeed Ahmed Jatoi, and other relevant officers, visited the Sindh Institute of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Center, Larkana.
During the visit, Secretary DEPD and DC Larkana carried out a detailed review of the construction work and the building’s construction in connection with the institute’s upcoming inauguration.
On this occasion, Taha Ahmed Farooqi instructed the contractors and relevant officers to immediately complete the remaining construction work so that the inauguration of the institute could be ensured at the scheduled time.
In Larkana, he inspected different parts of the building, the ongoing construction work, and preparations for the upcoming inauguration.
Later, Secretary DEPD also paid a detailed visit to the new under-construction C-Arts center in Sukkur. On this occasion, Consultant C-Arts Erum Rizwan, Additional Secretary DEPD Aitbar Ali Burro, Chief Engineer Education Works Ashfaq Mangrio, and other relevant officers were present.
Secretary DEPD inspected various parts of the building, reviewed the pace and quality of the ongoing work, and expressed satisfaction. He instructed the contractor to complete the construction work within the stipulated time so that the institution could become functional soon and, in particular, provide quality rehabilitation facilities to persons with disabilities.
Secretary DEPD Taha Ahmed Farooqi expressed the resolve that rehabilitation, medical assistance, and empowerment facilities for persons with disabilities across Sindh would be further improved and made more effective.
