Speaking in favour of the resolution, Naz Baloch of the Pakistan Peoples Party said the tragic incident had tarnished the country’s soft image.
She said the nation witnessed the “unfortunate drama” for putting a person behind the bars for only a single day. Imran Khan was not a red line for the people rather Pakistan, the state and its armed forces were their red line, she added.
Naz Baloch said the workers of “fascist party” had attacked military installations and the Jinnah House, Lahore. Special trends were run on social media to instigate the people against the state institutions, she added.
Sjhe said such elements did not want peace and tranquility in Pakistan, as they had always been involved in instigating the people to resort to such riots. Such elements needed to be taken to task, she added.
Naz Baloch said ambulances were set on fire, besides torching metro stations, buses and toll plazas at the Swat Motorway on May 9.
She strongly condemned the May 9 incidents and paid rich tribute to the sacrifices rendered by the armed forces.
Engineer Sabir Hussain Kaim Khani of MQM said being a patriotic Pakistani, he fully endorsed the resolution presented by Khawaja Muhammad Asif. Many PTI members parted ways with Imran Khan before tabling a no-confidence motion against him in the august House last year, he added.
He said the false narrative of cypher was created by the PTI chairman to deceive the people.
Actually the conspiracy was hatched against sovereignty of the country. Supreme sacrifices were rendered for the creation of Pakistan, he added.
Ali Wazir while speaking in the House requested the government to open a mobile network in his constituency. He said justice should be ensured for all in the country.
Abdul Qadir Khan Mandokhail said May 9 would be observed black in the history of the country. He said that culprits involved in the day should be awarded exemplary punishment.
Salahuddin Ayubi also strongly condemned the May 9 incident and demanded stern action against the culprits involved in it.
