Sukkur: Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Shikarpur Muhammad Kaleem visited Ziauddin Hospital in Sukkur to inquire about the health of Constable Barkat Mangrio, who was injured during an encounter with armed dacoits within the jurisdiction of Naparkot Police Station.
According to police spokesperson, the police personnel sustained injuries while confronting the suspects during an exchange of fire.
In the retaliatory action, three alleged outlaws were killed by the police.
During his visit to the hospital, the SSP met Constable Barkat Mangrio and inquired about his condition.
He also received a detailed briefing from the treating doctors regarding the injured constable’s health, treatment and recovery.
Speaking on the occasion, Muhammad Kaleem praised the bravery and courage displayed by the injured police constable, saying that his commitment to duty was a matter of pride for the Sindh Police.
‘Police officers who perform their duties without caring for their own lives are our valuable assets, ‘ the SSP said.
He directed that the injured constable be provided with the best possible medical treatment and every available healthcare facility to ensure his speedy recovery.
He further assured the family that all possible assistance and complete departmental patronage would be extended to the injured officer during his treatment and recovery.
