HYDERABAD The Managing Director Sindh Solid Waste Management Irfan Butt Monday said that providing neat and clean environment to people was SSWM basic responsibility, however cooperation of elected representatives and social activists also needed.
He expressed these views while talking with elected representatives of area and social activists in the office of Bhai Khan Welfare.
Irfan said that all resources were being utilized to ensure cleanliness so that a healthy environment could be provided to the masses.
He said that sanitation staffs of Solid waste department do their work with punctuality and on time however people dump garbage of their shops and markets on roads after the opening of business activities which creates hurdles for us.
He urged elected representatives and social activists to educate people about the significance of cleanliness and cooperate with us in social work. He said that uplift projects of Bhai Khan Welfare were laudable. He assured to resolve sanitation issue at the earliest

C Chairman Azhar Shaikh said that soon door-to-door awareness campaign will be started so that citizens could dump their garbage at specified places.
The Founder and General Secretary of Bhai Khan welfare Haji Muuhammad Yaseen assured that awareness campaign would be started son and pamphlets will be distributed among people to ensure cleanliness drive.
He said that our aim was to protect people from diseases and provide healthy atmosphere.
On this occasion Senior Vice President Aftab Ahmed Khan and Vice Present Shahid Rajput presented traditional Sindhi Ajrak to Irfan Butt and assured his complete cooperation for improving sanitation situation.
Former MPA Rashid Khilji, Chairman UC 32 Azhar Shaikh, Chairman UC 102 Akram Bhai, Coucillor Faheem Mughal, M.Irfan Rajput, Zonal officer SSWM Anil Parmaar, Yasin Arain and others were also present on the occasion.
