Dera ismail khan: A blood donation awareness session was organized at Government Degree College No. 1 on the directives of Manager Regional Blood Centre Dera Ismail Khan Dr. Muhammad Rizwan Rajput.
Health Education Officer Sajjad Ahmad Khan Mahsud conducted the awareness session and briefed students about the importance of voluntary blood donation and its role in saving lives.
Following the session, a large number of students voluntarily donated blood. The collected blood will be utilized for patients suffering from thalassemia and cancer as well as those requiring blood transfusions in emergency situations.
The Regional Blood Centre would continue such awareness and voluntary blood donation activities to promote a culture of regular blood donation and ensure availability of blood for patients in need, the official said.
