Peshawar: Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi on Saturday praised the Pakistan Boy Scouts Association for its contribution to youth character building, saying scouting played a vital role in promoting discipline, leadership, community service and a sense of national responsibility among young people.
He expressed these views during a meeting with Acting Provincial Commissioner of the Pakistan Boy Scouts Association Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Shams Khan, at the Governor House.
Shams Khan briefed the Governor on the association’s organizational structure, activities and overall performance in the province. He said nearly 100,000 Boy Scouts across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa were actively participating in various social, training and welfare activities.
He also informed the Governor about the association’s training facilities, including scouting training centres in Abbottabad and Kabal, Swat.
Governor Kundi appreciated the association’s efforts in preparing responsible and disciplined youth, describing scouting as an effective platform for developing leadership qualities and encouraging community service.
Shams Khan also invited the Governor to visit the provincial headquarters of the Pakistan Boy Scouts Association and thanked him for taking interest in the organization’s activities.
