SU Pro-Vice-Chancellor Assigned to Oversee University During VC’s China Visit

Hyderabad: The Pro-Vice-Chancellor of the University of Sindh’s Main Campus Prof. Dr. Abdul Sattar Shah has been entrusted with the responsibility of overseeing the day-to-day academic and administrative affairs of the university following the departure of Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Fateh Muhammad Mari (TI) on a five-day official visit to the People’s Republic of China.

The SU spokesperson informed that an official notification issued by the Registrar Sajid Qayoom Memon, stating that PVC Main Campus Dr. Abdul Sattar Shah will discharge the responsibilities of the day to day matters of the University from July 5 to July 9, 2026, ensuring the smooth functioning of the university during Dr. Mari’s absence.

The notification states that Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Fateh Muhammad Mari (TI) has been granted five days’ Ex-Pakistan leave to visit Beijing Language and Culture University in China. The visit has been approved by the Universities and Boards Department of the Government of Sindh.

During his official visit, Dr. Marri is expected to hold meetings with university authorities to promote academic cooperation, strengthen institutional linkages and explore opportunities for collaborative research, faculty development and student exchange programs between the University of Sindh and Chinese higher education institutions.
