BNBWU observes international day against drug abuse and illicit trafficking

Sukkur: The Begum Nusrat Bhutto Women University (BNBWU), Sukkur, observed the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking with an awareness session aimed at promoting student well being and a drug free academic environment.

The event was organized under the direction of Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Tehmina Nangraj as part of the university’s ongoing efforts to raise awareness about mental health and the dangers of substance abuse.

The session was held in collaboration with the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) Sindh. Expert speakers included Hamad, Focal Person ANF Sindh who joined online, Mr. Hamza, Investigation Officer ANF Sindh, and Dr. Sana Aslam, Clinical Psychologist. The speakers shed light on drug prevention strategies, mental health, and the shared responsibility of building a drug-free society.

Addressing the participants, Prof. Dr. Tehmina Nangraj said that youth are the nation’s greatest asset and stressed the need to protect their physical, mental, and emotional well being. She urged students to reject drugs and adopt healthy, productive lifestyles.

The Vice Chancellor further encouraged students to act as ambassadors of awareness and play an active role in creating a safe and drug free community.

The session concluded with a strong pledge by students and faculty to support anti-drug initiatives and promote informed, healthy life choices on campus.
