Sukkur: A delegation from Sukkur IBA University participated in the final meeting of the NORPART-CONNECT project held at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), Gj¸vik, Norway, marking the successful culmination of a five year academic partnership.
The delegation was led by Vice Chancellor, Sukkur IBA University, Prof. Dr. Asif Ahmed Shaikh and comprised Dean, Faculty of Science and Information Technology, Prof. Dr. Sher Muhammad Daudpota and Chairman, Department of Computer Science, Prof. Dr. Javed Ahmed Shahani.
According to release on Monday, the five year collaboration between Sukkur IBA University and NTNU facilitated 86 bilateral faculty and student exchanges. The partnership also played a key role in the development of the curriculum for MS in Artificial Intelligence at Sukkur IBA University, significantly strengthening academic collaboration, capacity building and knowledge exchange between the two institutions.
The concluding meeting was hosted by Dr. Ali Imran Shariq from NTNU. NTNU leadership was represented by Vice-Rector Gj¸vik, Prof. Stephen Roderick Dobson.
As a gesture of goodwill and cultural exchange, the Sukkur IBA University delegation presented a traditional Sindhi Ajrak to Prof. Stephen Roderick Dobson.
The successful completion of the NORPART-CONNECT project stands as another major milestone in the longstanding academic partnership between Sukkur IBA University and NTNU, opening new avenues for student mobility, faculty development, joint research and institutional growth.
