Sukkur: The Sukkur Municipal Corporation’s Anti-Encroachment Branch, under the directives of Municipal Commissioner Pir Wahid Bakhsh, on Friday continued its campaign against encroachments in the city. The branch removed the illegal Lunda Bazaar (flea market) established in the Municipal Jinah Stadium premises.
The operation, overseen by Director Anti-Encroachment Bilawal Korai, involved inspectors Adnan Memon, Sohail Altaf Sheikh, Zaheer Memon, and Kamran Memon. All illegal stalls and carts on government land were removed, and encroachers were warned against future violations.
Municipal Commissioner Pir Wahid Bakhsh stated that public spaces like Jinah Stadium are meant for recreational activities and that encroachments are a violation of law and public interest. He emphasized that the city’s beauty, public convenience, traffic flow, and government land protection will be ensured.
The SMC will continue to take strict action against encroachments, and citizens are urged to cooperate with the administration and follow the law to make Sukkur a better city.
