Dera ismail khan: The Food Department has inspected various butcher shops in DI Khan city to ensure the sale of meat at government-fixed rates and compliance with hygiene standards.
The inspection was conducted by Assistant Food Controller (Headquarters) Khaliq-ur-Rehman on the instructions of Deputy Director Food, Dera Division, Amjad Ali, under the supervision of District Food Controller Muhammad Azam Khan.
During the inspection, the cleanliness of meat, display of official price lists and compliance with prescribed rates were checked.
The officials emphasized that maintaining food quality, ensuring fair prices and protecting public health remained key priorities of the department.
They directed butchers to strictly follow government-fixed rates and observe hygiene standards, warning that violations would invite legal action.
