Lahore: Deputy Inspector General Investigation Lahore Syed Zeeshan Raza said on Monday
that police had arrested one of the suspects allegedly involved in the gang rape of a woman in Defence C. The accused was identified as Mohsin while the victim had undergone a medical examination which confirmed sexual assault, the DIG Investigation said. He said the victim’s statement under Section 164 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC) had also been recorded before the competent court.
Police teams were conducting raids at various locations to arrest the remaining two suspects and they would also be apprehended soon, he said.
