Muzaffargarh:A four-day cultural fair will be organised from November 5 to 8 at Rakh Khairay Wala, the midpoint of the 11th Thal Jeep Rally in Layyah district, to promote local culture and provide entertainment to visitors.
The fair will feature a musical night, fireworks, kabaddi, tent pegging, camel races and other cultural activities, an official said.
A meeting chaired by Deputy Commissioner Layyah Asif Ali Dogar was held to review arrangements for the Thal Jeep Rally and the cultural fair. Relevant officials briefed the meeting on preparations for the mega sporting event.
The meeting also decided to operate free public transport to facilitate people’s participation in the event.
Addressing the meeting, Deputy Commissioner Usman Tahir, directed the concerned departments to make comprehensive arrangements to ensure that the Thal Jeep Rally and cultural fair were memorable events.
He said the cultural fair should present a beautiful blend of culture and entertainment.
