Muzaffargarh Two jail constables were suspended following an initial inquiry into a clash between two groups of prisoners at District Jail Muzaffargarh.
Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Prisons Ahmed Naveed Gondal reached the jail after receiving reports of the clash and conducted an initial inquiry into the incident.
Following the inquiry, constables Muzamil Majeed and Farooq Ahmed were suspended for their alleged negligence in connection with the incident.
The clash had occurred a day earlier between the Bosan and Farhan groups of prisoners over who would use the jail phone booth first.
The dispute escalated into a physical confrontation, leaving two prisoners and a jail official, identified as Saleem, seriously injured.
