Islamabad: Two people were killed in a firing incident in Lakki Marwat on Wednesday, according to police sources quoted by TV channels.
According to initial reports, unidentified assailants opened fire on the victims, killing two men on the spot.
The bodies of the deceased were recovered from the roadside along the Indus Highway and shifted to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital, Naurang, for necessary medico-legal procedures.
The identities of the deceased have not yet been confirmed.
Police have registered a case and launched an investigation into the incident to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the killings.
