MULTAN: Two citizens were shot and injured for putting up resistance during a robbery bid at Waryam Chowk near Sewara Chowk on Wednesday evening.
According to Rescue 1122 sources, the rescue received an emergency call of bullet injury to two persons near Sewara Chowk.
The local people informed that 25-year-old Saddam s/o Nadeem resident of Sewara Chowk along with his friend 29-year-old Saad s/o Akbar of the same locality were returning home on a motorcycle from Gulgasht market.
All of a sudden, unidentified armed robbers interested them near Waryam Chowk. They held them hostage at gunpoint and snatched cash, mobile phones and the motorcycle from them.
The robbers also shot them injured when they tried to resist the robbery bid and managed to escape from the scene.
The rescue officials shifted the injured to Nishtar Hospital, however, the police concerned have also started an investigation into the incident.
