LAHORE:University of Management Technology (UMT) and the Department of Social Welfare & Bait ul Maal (SW&BM) on Wednesday agreed to work together for the prevention of drug abuse.
In this regard, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the UMT administration and SW&BM here.
Punjab Minister for SW&BM Syed Yawar Abbas Bukhari, SW&BM Director General Mudassar Riaz Malik, UMT Rector Dr Asif Raza and Director of Provincial Council for Rehabilitation of Disabled Persons Irfan Gondal and others were present.
The purpose of the MoU is to protect students in school, colleges and universities from the curse of drugs through the campaign “Save A Life”. Web portal and help line for “Save a Life” were also being developed by the SW&BM department.
