MUZAFFARGARH:United stags defeated superior lions with 39 runs on Saturday in a match of ongoing third edition of Muzaffargarh Super League (MSL) cricket tournament being played at Faisal stadium.
Sensational matches of the super League were underway. Barrister Tayyib Mumtaz Qureshi and ex chairman Muncipal corporation Akram Chandia were the chief guests of today’s match and both were introduced with players.
Barrister Tayyib Mumtaz Qureshi hailed Ajmal Chandia over organizing the event and better arrangements.
In today’s match, United stags played first and scored 163 runs in fixed 20 overs as Asif Raza reamined highest scorer with 56 runs while Rana Sajjad added 38 runs in the total.
Majid Ali from superior lions took three wickets.
Superior lions could score 124 runs in chasing the target. Asif Raza was declared man of the match.
Director super League Ajmal Chandia said that the players from across South Punjab were participating in the league.
