RAWALPINDI: A ceremony was organized in collaboration with Voice of Writers at the Punjab Arts Council to honor eminent poet and journalist Ali Asghar Samar on Thursday.
The event was presided over by renowned poet and writer Naseem Sehar, with Khawar Ejaz and Qayyum Tahir as special guests. Ziauddin Naeem, Qazi Arif Hussain and Dr. Agha Shuja were also among distinguished guests.
Khalid Bhotral, Shahid Hanif, Naseem Iqbal Malik, and Irfan Khan dedicated their essays and poems to Ali Asghar Samar.
Raja Abdul Qayyum, Tajammul Shah, Tariq Masood, Qazi Arif Hussain and Jamal Zaidi while addressing the event they paid rich tribute to Ali Asghar Samar for his dedicated poetic work. Poets Nusrat Yab and Qayyum Tahir presented their poetry in honor of the guest poet.
Ali Asghar Samar has also written poetry collection Haal-e-Dil Zaar. He expressed his gratitude to all the participants. Naseem Sehar, shed light on the personality and literary achievements of Ali Asghar.
