DERA ISMAIL KHAN:The district police, Counter Terrorism Department (CTD), and security forces in a joint operation killed a terrorist wanted for attacks on police, terrorism kidnapping for ransom, and extortion.
According to a police spokesman the terrorist who was identified as the local commander of the TTP Gandapur group, Ikramullah was killed in retaliatory fire by the police, CTD, and security forces that had arrived to launch a search operation at the Madi area within limits of Kulachi police station and unknown terrorists started firing on them.
He said the exchange of firing continued for a long time and as the firing ceased, the area was searched, and the body of the terrorist was found.
The body was shifted to Civil Hospital Kulachi for post-mortem. He said the slain terrorist was wanted by Dera Police and CTD in several incidents including terrorism, attacks on police, and kidnapping for ransom.
