Lahore:Speaker Punjab Assembly Malik Muhammad Ahmad Khan said on Sunday “we are indebted to those people who sacrificed their lives for peace in the country”.
Speaking at the Police Martyrs’ Day ceremony, Speaker Punjab Assembly Malik Ahmad Khan said the assembly belongs to the heirs of those martyrs. “When Captain Ahmed Mubeen was martyred, I was the spokesperson for the government. But I have not forgotten the martyrs and their families till today,” he added.
Malik Ahmad said “I have no words to describe the sacrifices offered by families of martyrs. We are indebted to those martyrs who sacrificed their lives for peace”.
He said “we are giving free education to children of martyrs up to F.Sc., we will bring more privileges for police martyrs in consultation with the chief minister of Punjab, adding “we will give all kinds of privileges to children of martyrs”. He said that a square in Kasur would be built as a wall of fame in memory of police martyrs.
