ISLAMABAD:Secretary Information and Broadcasting Shahera Shahid on Thursday said all out efforts were being made to revive the glory of Pakistan Broadcasting Corporation.
This she said on a cake cutting ceremony organized here at Pakistan Broadcasting Corporation (PBC) in connection with Christmas celebrations.
In her address, Secretary Information Shahera Shahid She congratulated the Christian community on the eve of Christmas. She lauded the sincere efforts made by the Director General Radio Pakistan Muhammad Asim Khichi to uplift the organization.
Earlier, Director General Radio Pakistan Asim Khichi said Islam was a religion of peace and taught interfaith harmony and freedom of religious practices for all.
He paid tribute to the Christian community in Pakistan for rendering meritorious services for the development of the country.
Speaking on the occasion, Bishop Tariq Jan said the Christian community would continue playing its role for prosperity of the country and thanked PBC for holding the cake cutting ceremony.
A large number of Christian employees of Radio Pakistan besides Christian community participated in the ceremony who offered prayers. They also presented songs on the occasion.
