KARACHI: Turkish Counsel General in Karachi Tolga Uchak and President Arts Council of Pakistan (ACP), Karachi, Mohammad Ahmed Shah on Thursday decided to take joint steps for the promotion of Pak-Turkish art and culture.
The Turkish envoy met Ahmed Shah at the ACP here, said a spokesperson of the ACP.
Earlier, Ahmad Shah warmly welcomed Tolga Uchak and said that Turkey was a brotherly country of Pakistan and both countries shared a strong bonds.
The collaboration in the fields of art and culture would help further strengthen this bond at the grassroots level, he said.
He assured the envoy that the ACP would extend all possible cooperation for the promotion and mutual cooperation of Pak-Turkish art and culture.
Talking to the Ahmed Shah, Tolga Uchak highly appreciated the steps taken by ACP for the promotion of arts and culture and said that the progress made by the council in a short period of time was undoubtedly commendable.
The Arts Council had now become a true center of art and culture as it had now gained international fame, he observed.
