FAISALABAD:Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry (FCCI) President Engineer Ihtasham Javed Friday said the Faisalabad Industrial Estates Development & Management Company (FIEDMC) was making a new strategy for allotment of commercial plots to provide banking and other related facilities to the industrial units in M3 Industrial City.
Talking to a delegation of Allied Bank, he said that already three to five banks were operating in the close vicinity of the M3 Industrial City, but he wanted to legalise the entire process under the given framework. He said FIEDMC was also planning to construct its management office in M3 Industrial City where one floor would be dedicated to the commercial activities. He said that initially, they were contemplating allotment of 15-16 commercial plots to cater to the immediate needs of the mega industrial estate. “After the final approval of the policy by FIEDMC, earmarked commercial plots would be offered on “First Come-First Serve” basis.
Engineer Ihtasham Javed said that the FCCI was also proposing shifting of all wholesale markets from the urban area to the areas around motorways. “It will also resolve the most chronic issues of parking as the vehicles frequently visiting wholesale markets would have no need to enter into the congested city areas,” he said.
Mirza Husnain Raza, Group Head Allied Bank, said that his bank wanted to establish its branch in M3 Industrial Estate to provide best possible banking services to the industrial units at their doorsteps.
Earlier, Chaudhry Talat Mahmood, Senior Vice President FCCI, welcomed the guests and explained in detail the industrial, commercial and business importance of Faisalabad.
