FWCCI business incubation center opening on Sept 25

FAISALABAD: The business incubation centre (BIC) of the Faisalabad Women Chamber of Commerce & Industry (FWCCI) would be formally inaugurated on Sept 25, 2021 with initial eight incubates.

This was stated by Mrs Rubina Amjad, chairperson of the FWCCI-BIC Selection Committee. Chairing a meeting of the FWCCI-BIC, she said that it would be the first-ever project of female business incubation, established exclusively by any women chamber in Pakistan. She said that the centre had been established with an estimated cost of Rs 2 million which will provide business development services including training programs and legal consultancy services to selected young female graduates. She said that new start-ups would be financed with business formulization expense to the extent of Rs 25, 000 per incubate.

She offered special thanks to Asif Bashir, manager business incubation National Textile University, Mrs Nighat Parveen, assistant professor Government Graduate College for Women, and Dr Rizwana Batool, Government College Women University, for supporting the FWCCI to make the project functional.

Qurat-ul-Ain, chairman Special Initiatives Committee of the FWCCI, briefed about the project and said that various incentives would be offered to the young start-ups. The meeting was also attended Tehmina Pasha, Shahida Aftab and Rubina Shafiq.
