PESHAWAR: The government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Tuesday decided to conduct deworming campaign in public, private schools and seminaries in 22 districts of the province.
The decision was taken in a steering committee meeting chaired by Special Secretary Health Department Farooq Jamil.
The meeting discussed steps taken to deworm children under “deworming initiative of school-age children in KP”.
The participants said that trained teachers would be hired to administer medicines to school children under the age of 5-14 years.
He urged all the departments concerned to prepare plan to achieve the targets of deworming initiatives.
