PESHAWAR: Commissioner, Riaz Khan Mehsud here on Wednesday directed owners of marble processing units situated at Warsak Road to shift their factory in industrial areas within a week.
He issued these directives while chairing a meeting held at his office that was attended by assistant commissioners and concerned quarters.
The Commissioner directed the officials of district administration to take stern action against the factory owners who were involved in making polythene bags and the factories that were discharging harmful emission and effluent into water courses.
He said the campaign against factories making polythene bags would be started from Thursday and no leniency would be tolerated.
