ISLAMABAD: The department of Auditor General of Pakistan – supreme audit institution of Pakistan – has been elected as member of the Asian Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (ASOSAI) Governing Board for the term 2021-24.
The election process in this regard was held in the 15th ASOSAI Assembly hosted by the State Audit Office of Thailand on Tuesday through virtual platform, said a press release issued by the office of AGP.
Acting Auditor General of Pakistan Ghulam Muhammad Memon along with delegates, participated in the Assembly meeting.
ASOSAI comprises the Supreme Audit Institutions (SAls) of 47 Asian countries. The Governing Board is the executive arm of the ASOSAI. It executes and implements, the policies of the Organization in accordance with the rules and regulations approved by the Assembly and also approves the annual financial plan and budget of the ASOSAI.
