Imran Khan said the people of Kashmir were fighting for their independence for the last 150 years, first during the Dogra Raj (rule) and then struggling for their just right to self-determination under the United Nations Security Council resolutions for the last 73 years.
He expressed his belief that the Kashmiris, who were fighting for their self-determination, were near to achieve their goal.
The prime minister urged the people of AJK to vote for the PTI on July 25 for changing their future.
The way the PTI government remained successful in reducing poverty in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during its 2013-18 tenure, the party after coming into power in the AJK would address problems of the local people by exploring the potential of tourism in the beautiful Azad Kashmir, he added.
Imran Khan wondered as to how the PML-N was talking about any rigging in July 25 AJK elections, when they were still holding government offices in Azad Kashmir.
Minister for Kashmir Affairs Ali Amin Gandapur and PTI candidates from Kotli, including Malik Yusuf, Ansar Abbasi, Malik Zafar and Chaudhry Ikranm, also addressed the gathering.
