ISLAMABAD:Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Farrukh Habib on Monday said the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz leaders were following the Sharif doctrine of pressurizing the national institutions to avoid corruption cases.
It were the PML-N leaders, who had always attacked the judiciary to exert pressure on the judges hearing corruption cases of Sharif family, he said citing the recent statement of PML-N Punjab President Rana Sanaullah.
Talking to a private television channel, Farrukh Habib said most of the Sharif family members had already escaped abroad because of corruption and money laundering cases. Likewise, PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif was trying to avoid court proceedings in the illegal money transaction case, he added.
As regards the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) Amendment bill, he said the government had managed get it passed from the Senate despite negative agenda of the opposition.
The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government had no fear from the opposition party leaders, who were, in fact, were indulged in fighting with one another.
To a question about Pakistan Peoples Party’s Yusuf Raza Gillani’s resignation as Leader of Opposition in the Senate, he said Bilawal Bhutto and Asif Zardari should better quit their party offices instead of Gillani.
