MULTAN:MD Wasa Nasir Iqbal said revamping of sewerage and water supply system spread across the district was in final stage.
Addressing to a meeting arranged after a representative of JAECA, Japanese agency, paid visit here Wednesday, the MD said ‘concept papers’ of revamping scheme were approved from the higher authority.
He said they were facing challenges to supply clean drinking water along with smooth sewerage system. He assured that it would achieve a milestone after completing the project.
Nasir Iqbal said until now, they had arranged proper sewerage system for 65 percent while clean water to 35 percent population of the district.
Deputy Managing Director Nighat Jabeen, Deputy Director Water Supply Rabia and other officers were present on the occasion.
