15 professional beggars taken into custody in anti-begging campaign

Islamabad:As part of the ongoing anti-begging campaign, the district administration intensified action against professional beggars and shifted 15 individuals to the lockup during operations carried out in different areas of the federal capital.



The action was conducted by Assistant Commissioners as part of efforts to address professional begging in public places. During the campaign, teams visited various locations and took action against individuals involved in organized begging activities.



According to the district administration, a total of 15 professional beggars were taken into custody and moved to the lockup after being found engaged in begging in different parts of the city.



The administration said the anti-begging campaign will continue across Islamabad to discourage professional begging and maintain public order in commercial and residential areas. Officials stated that regular operations are being carried out in different sectors to identify and take action against those involved in the activity.



The district administration also appealed to citizens to support its efforts aimed at making the federal capital free from professional beggars. Residents were requested to cooperate with authorities and help identify locations where professional begging is taking place.



Officials thanked the public for their cooperation and urged citizens to continue supporting the administration in its ongoing campaign against professional begging.
