Sargodha: Police arrested 18 proclaimed offenders(PO’s) during the last 24 hours as part of a crackdown against proclaimed and habitual offenders, here on Tuesday.
According to a police spokesperson, the crackdown was launched on the directions of District Police Officer (DPO) Sargodha, Tauqeer Muhammad Naeem and legal proceedings against the arrested accused were initiated.
The DPO has assigned special tasks to all circle officers and Station House Officers (SHOs) to further intensify search operations and patrolling in their respective areas and tighten the noose around proclaimed offenders.
He said that the measures were aimed at curbing street crime and other serious offenses and improving law and order in the district.
