Hyderabad: The thick fog caused accidents claimed 2 lives in Matiari district on Monday besides leaving 6 persons including women injured.
The Matiari police said that the first accident occurred on the National Highway between a passenger coach and a truck trawler.
The police added that 7 persons were injured in the accident and that all the injured were shifted in the ambulances of Rescue 1122 in taluka hospital in Bhit Shah.
The injured were later referred to Liaquat University Hospital, Hyderabad, but one of them, identified as Altaf Dasti, died while he was being shifted to the LUH.
The coach was carrying passengers from Karachi to Rahimyar Khan, Punjab. In another accident, a car hit a motorbike on the National Highway near Bhit Shah killing the young motorbike rider, Naveed Junejo, on the spot.The car driver escaped along with the vehicle.Junejo was a resident of the Hala town of Matiari.
