Larkana: Deputy Commissioner Larkana, Tariq Manzoor Chandio, along with Medical Superintendent CMCH Larkana Dr. Amjad Ali Bajrani, Mukhtarkar Larkana Abdul Khaliq Chandio, the consultant from M/s Paragon, and other officials of Health Development Larkana, visited the construction site of the 600-bed hospital in Larkana on Tuesday.

The consultant from M/s Paragon briefed the Deputy Commissioner regarding the construction of the 600-bed hospital and the matter concerning the trees present at the site.The Deputy Commissioner Larkana directed the Medical Superintendent Larkana to resolve the issue of the trees during the construction work.

The Deputy Commissioner Larkana also instructed the consultant from M/s Paragon to accelerate the pace of work at the construction site of the 600-bed hospital to ensure that the construction process is completed within the stipulated timeframe.

Faisalabad: A prompt and professionally executed rescue operation by Rescue 1122 saved the life of a man who suffered suspected heatstroke and lost consciousness while cleaning the rooftop of a government school in Jaranwala.

Rescue 1122 spokesman said on Tuesday that the emergency control room received a call reporting that a man had collapsed unconscious on the rooftop of a government high school Jaranwala.

Responding immediately, Rescue 1122 team rushed to the spot and launched an emergency rescue operation.

Rescue 1122 provided first aid to the patient at the site and assessed his condition before initiating a safe evacuation from the rooftop.

Owing to the difficult access, the team used an Aerial Platform Facility (APF) to bring the patient down safely without causing further risk.

Rescue officials identified the patient as 22-year-old Hasnain of Chak No.240-GB and he lost consciousness due to intense heat while cleaning the roof.

After being stabilized at the scene, the patient was shifted to Tehsil Headquarters (THQ) Hospital Jaranwala for further medical treatment, the spokesman added.

Rescue 1122 official urged the people to take precautionary measures during the prevailing hot weather and avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight.

According to Rescue 1122, the victims were identified as Nisar Ali, 26, son of Noor Alam, a resident of Chak No. 563/TDA, and Riaz, 60, son of Din Muhammad, a resident of the 5-Marla Scheme.

The two motorcyclists collided head-on, leaving both motorcycles completely wrecked. The accident occurred due to alleged negligence and over-speeding by the riders.Both sustained critical injuries and died at the scene.

Police handed over the bodies to the heirs after they refused to initiate medico-legal proceedings.
