Faisalabad: The police reunited a distressed mother with her two children after taking prompt action on her complaint, protecting the rights of women and children.

A police spokesman said that Noor Fatima approached the Women Police Station alleging that her in-laws had forcibly taken away her infant daughter, Sehar, and her eight-year-old son, Haider Ali, before kicking her out from the house.

Acting promptly on the complaint, Station House Officer (SHO) Women Police Station Madiha Irshad launched an immediate operation and successfully recovered both children.

After completing necessary formalities, the police handed the children over to their mother, he added.

Muzaffargarh: Two men were killed in a head-on collision between two motorcycles in Tehsil, Chowk Sarwar Shaheed , the Rescue 1122 officials said on Tuesday.

The accident occurred near Chak No. 567 CA on the Kot Addu Road in Tehsil, Chowk Sarwar Shaheed , according to Rescue 1122 sources. Both riders died at the spot, they added.

The Rescue 1122 teams carried out relief operations before transferring the bodies to a nearby hospital for legal formalities.

The deceased were identified as Nisar Ali 26 years and Riaz 60 years old, they added .

According to police spokesman, the suspects were apprehended during a targeted operation. During interrogation, the accused also confessed to their involvement in several other robbery incidents, the spokesman said.
