Quetta: The Balochistan government and the protest committee concluded successful negotiations, leading to the end of the sit-in. The provincial administration has finalized all arrangements for the dignified transfer of the martyrs’ bodies to their native district of Ziarat.

Aide to the Chief Minister on Media and Political Affairs, Shahid Rind, said that Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti directed special measures to ensure the respectful relocation of the martyrs.

He confirmed that ambulances have been arranged and the transfer process to Ziarat will begin shortly, with full security and logistical support in place.

Shahid Rind emphasized that the talks between the government and the protest committee were held in a cordial atmosphere, resulting in consensus on all matters.

He noted that the provincial government has already begun implementing the points agreed upon in the settlement.

He further remarked that the sacrifices of the martyrs are a source of pride for the entire nation.

The Balochistan government, he said, stands firmly with the families of the martyrs in their grief and remains committed to addressing their concerns, ensuring their dignity, and supporting their welfare through all possible measures.

Quetta: Governor Balochistan Jaffar Khan Mandokhail has welcomed the successful negotiations between the provincial government and the protest committee formed after the Ziarat tragedy, describing the outcome as a significant step toward peace and stability in the province.

The Governor said that political dialogue and mutual understanding are more effective and credible means of resolving disputes than confrontation and conflict. He praised the members of the government’s negotiation committee, leaders of various political parties, and especially the families of the martyrs for their patience, wisdom, and resilience during the process.

Governor Jaffar Mandokhail expressed hope that, following the success of these talks, subsequent stages will also be completed smoothly. He commended the government’s decision to address the legitimate demands of the martyrs’ families and to tackle security concerns through consensus. He further expressed confidence that the judicial commission will ensure transparent and impartial investigations into the incident.

Under the agreed policy, the martyrs of the Ziarat tragedy will be officially recognized by the state, and their families will receive assistance, including educational arrangements for children, financial compensation, and other rights. In addition, several government buildings will be renamed in honor of the martyrs’ sacrifices. A committee headed by the Provincial Minister for Revenue will also be established to address public concerns related to land and revenue matters.

Governor Jaffar Mandokhail paid tribute to the negotiation committee members, political leaders, and the bereaved families of the martyrs for their steadfastness and high resolve. He noted that this development has paved the way for lasting peace, strengthened public confidence, and reinforced the democratic tradition of resolving disputes through consultation and consensus.
