Quetta: The funeral prayer of Anti-Terrorist Force (ATF) martyr Jandad Khan Shabozai, who sacrificed his life in the line of duty during the Ziarat tragedy, was offered in Loralai with full state honors.

The ceremony was attended by Commissioner Loralai Division Wali Muhammad Bareech, SSP Loralai Dr. Fahad Ahmed, Assistant Commissioner Nadeem Akram, Assistant Commissioner Mekhtar, senior civil and military officials, tribal elders, political and social leaders, representatives of the traders’ association, and a large number of citizens.

On the occasion, a smartly turned-out police contingent presented a salute to the martyr’s coffin. Civil and military leadership laid floral wreaths and offered prayers for the departed soul. Participants prayed for the elevation of the martyr’s ranks, patience for the bereaved family, and lasting peace in the country.

Speaking after the funeral, officials declared that martyrs are the nation’s true asset and pride, whose eternal sacrifices will always be remembered in gol
den words. They noted that Jandad Khan Shabozai set a shining example of bravery, duty, and patriotism by laying down his life while performing his responsibilities.

Civil and military leaders reaffirmed their resolve that terrorist elements will never succeed in their nefarious designs, and operations against anti-state forces will continue with full strength. They emphasized that law enforcement agencies are committed to protecting citizens’ lives and property, maintaining peace, and ensuring the complete eradication of terrorism.

Officials further said that tragic incidents like the Ziarat attack cannot weaken the nation’s resolve; rather, such sacrifices strengthen the collective determination to defeat terrorism. They vowed that every conspiracy to destabilize peace in Balochistan and across the country will be foiled, and indiscriminate action will continue against terrorists, their facilitators, and all anti-peace elements.

Participants paid glowing tributes to the martyrs, declaring that the entire
nation stands shoulder to shoulder with security forces and law enforcement agencies. They pledged that the sacrifices of the martyrs will never go in vain, and the struggle for peace, development, and stability will persist with unity and determination.

Quetta: Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Loralai Range, Junaid Ahmed Sheikh, has emphasized that the protection of citizens’ lives and property remains the foremost priority of Balochistan Police. He noted that in light of current circumstances, the force is enhancing its professional preparedness to ensure timely response and effective security measures.

The DIG expressed these views during his visit to District Ziarat, where he met with police personnel. Superintendent of Police (SP) Ziarat, Abdul Malik Durani, accompanied him during the tour.

During inspections of the police lines and various sections of the local police station, DIG Sheikh reviewed security arrangements and overall operational readiness. SP Durani provided a detailed briefing on the law and order situation and ongoing security measures in the district.

Addressing officers and personnel, DIG Junaid Ahmed Sheikh directed them to remain fully vigilant and to discharge their duties with utmost professionalism in line with the devised security plan to counter potential terrorist threats. He praised the morale, dedication, and services of the police force, reaffirming that no effort will be spared in maintaining peace and thwarting the malicious designs of extremist elements.

He further said that Balochistan Police is prepared to utilize all available resources for the establishment of peace, prosperity, and stability in the province, even if it requires the ultimate sacrifice of laying down their lives in the line of duty.

Quetta: On the directives of Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti, a high-level committee has been constituted to address longstanding revenue and land-related issues in the Kuch Mangi area.

According to a notification issued by the Services and General Administration Department (SandGAD)on Saturday, the committee has been tasked with conducting a detailed review of revenue matters in Kuch Mangi and preparing recommendations for their resolution.

The committee will be chaired by the Provincial Minister for the Board of Revenue. Its members include the Commissioner Sibi, Deputy Commissioner Ziarat, Director General Mines and Minerals, a representative of the Senior Member Board of Revenue, and three local representatives from Kuch Mangi.

The committee will undertake a comprehensive assessment of revenue, land, and other related matters in the area, ensuring that all aspects are considered before formulating practical recommendations.

The Balochistan government has directed the committee to submit its report and recommendations within 15 days, enabling transparent, effective, and permanent decisions to be made on the issue.

Quetta: The Balochistan government has begun immediate implementation of the clauses agreed upon with the protest committee. Acting on the directives of Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti, the provincial administration has initiated measures to honor the sacrifices of martyrs who laid down their lives in the line of duty against terrorism in Ziarat district.

As part of the agreement, government buildings, police stations, educational institutions, and health centers will be renamed after the martyrs.

The Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister has issued formal notifications to the Home Department, Education Department, and Health Department, directing them to complete the renaming process and secure approval from the competent authority.

According to the notifications, four police stations in Ziarat district will be renamed: Sarmaksi Police Station as ‘Shaheed Hasratullah Kakar Police Station,’ Dosarka Shabozai Police Station as ‘Shaheed Jandad Khan Police Station,’ Mangi Police Station as ‘Shaheed Zainullah Panezai Police Station,’ and Zandra Police Station as ‘Shaheed Major Zaman Panezai Police Station.’

Similarly, under the Education Department, Government Boys High School Kan Depo will be renamed ‘Shaheed Constable Mustafa Khan Government Boys High School Kan Depo,’ Government Girls Middle School Kan Depo as ‘Shaheed Constable Muhammad Asif Government Girls Middle School Kan Depo,’ and Government Boys High School Kaos Gharbi as ‘Shaheed Constable Muhammad Usman Government Boys High School Kaos Gharbi.’

In the health sector, Rural Health Center Ahmedoon will be renamed ‘Shaheed Constable Azhar Ahmed Ahmed Damr Rural Health Center Ahmedoon,’ while Basic Health Unit Kaos Gharbi will be renamed ‘Shaheed Fareedullah BHU Kaos Gharbi.’

Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti reaffirmed that the government is committed to fulfilling every clause of the agreement with the protest committee. He said that the martyrs, who sacrificed their lives for the defense of the nation, the establishment of peace, and the protection of citizens, are the pride of the entire country.

Renaming government institutions after them is a meaningful effort to keep their sacrifices alive and to inspire future generations with their bravery and sense of duty.

The Chief Minister reiterated that the Balochistan government will continue to take all possible measures to honor the martyrs and support their families, ensuring dignity, welfare, and timely fulfillment of all commitments made under the agreement.
