Abbasi hails Pakistan-Saudi Arabia-Trkiye defence pact


Islamabad: Federal Minister for Railways Muhammad Hanif Abbasi Friday congratulated the nation on the historic joint defence agreement among Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Trkiye, and paid tribute to the leadership of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and Chief of Defense Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir.



In a statement, the minister said the trilateral defence agreement was another landmark achievement of Pakistan’s successful diplomacy and effective foreign policy.



He said under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister, Pakistan had given a new dimension to its defence and strategic cooperation with brotherly Muslim countries.



Hanif Abbasi said the agreement was a strong symbol of unity among the Muslim Ummah and collective security.



He said the historic pact would open a new chapter in Pakistan’s international stature, defence capabilities and successful diplomacy.



The minister extended heartfelt congratulations to the entire Pakistani nation on the achievement, saying it was a matter of pride for the nation and a harbinger of a bright future for Pakistan.



He reaffirmed that Pakistan would continue to play an effective role in promoting unity, collective defence, regional peace and stability in cooperation with brotherly Muslim countries.
