KARACHI:President, Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Irfan Iqbal Shaikh, has appointed senior businessman Abid Nisar as Chairman of Pakistan Indonesia Business Council of FPCCI for 2022.
While the board of directors includes Abid Nisar, Muhammad Saqib Goodluck, Muhammad Zohaib Khan, Naveed Usman Memon Pirani, Muhammad Naseem, Sohail Nisar, Muhammad Yahya Bari, Shehzad Ahmad and Ahmad Ali Anjum, said FPCCI release on Wednesday.
Considering the services of Abid Nisar, he has been given the responsibility for consecutive second time .
He has the honour of being the first entrepreneur, whose firm was awarded the highest distinction “The Primaduta Award” by the Indonesian government for outstanding performance in trade between Pakistan and Indonesia.
Abid has decades of experience in exports, imports and also serves as a member of the managing committee of the Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry and chairman of the Import and Anti-Smuggling sub-committee. He also served as a life member of the All Pakistan Paper Merchants Association, former vice chairman, chairman of various standing committees and also a member of the Rotary Club.
