Absconders held in anti-corruption cases


Multan: The Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) arrested two absconders allegedly involved in fraudulent activities, an official said. The action was launched on the direction of Punjab Director General Anti-Corruption Sohail Zafar Chattha. Lodhran Circle Officer Ali Hassan Gilani arrested accused Khalid Pervaiz, who was wanted in case No 12/25 registered by the Anti-Corruption Establishment. He was allegedly involved in preparing a fake death certificate in connivance with a Union Council official to obtain a death certificate for his sister, Shabana Kausar. The UC record was allegedly tampered with to achieve the nefarious objective.



In another action, Assistant Director Investigation Zahir Ahmad apprehended former record keeper of the local registry branch, Umer Draz, who was booked in case No 12/25. He was allegedly involved in tampering with registry records and having a fake mutation entered on their basis.
