Dera ismail khan: Acting on the directives of Deputy Commissioner Dera Ismail Khan, Assistant Commissioner Muhammad Sohail carried out inspections at various locations across the district today.
During his visit to the Basic Health Unit (BHU) Shorkot, the Assistant Commissioner reviewed the facility’s cleanliness and operational status.
He observed that the staff were present and performing their duties, while doctors and essential medicines were available on-site. Overall, the performance of the BHU was found satisfactory.
The Assistant Commissioner also monitored ongoing training for polio staff in UC Hisaam and UC Ratta Kalachi at BHU Shorkot. Similarly, he visited the District Polio Control Room (DPCR), where training for staff from UC Chehkan and UC Korai was underway.
During these sessions, the staff were briefed on the significance of the polio campaign, their responsibilities, and effective field performance. Attendance was verified and found satisfactory.
In addition, AC inspected petrol pumps in the district. During the inspection, it was noted that one petrol pump lacked the required documentation and was selling petrol above the official government rates. The pump manager was issued a strict warning to immediately comply with government pricing and adhere to all regulations, failing which legal action will be taken.
