Dera ismail khan: Assistant Commissioner (AC) Paharpur Dr Hamid Siddiq, along with the District Health Officer, visited the Tehsil Headquarters (THQ) Hospital Paharpur to review the implementation of directives issued during his previous visit.
During the inspection, it was informed that the X-ray machine at the hospital has now been made fully operational round-the-clock, seven days a week, for the convenience of the general public.
In case of power outages, a generator connection has also been provided to ensure uninterrupted X-ray services for patients.
The AC was further briefed that the operating theatre has been fully activated for major surgical procedures. Relevant surgeons have been directed that all major surgeries will now be conducted at THQ Hospital, Paharpur, as all required equipment and medical facilities have been made available.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Hamid Siddiq said that a long-standing demand of the local population had been fulfilled, which would help reduce the burden on patients who previously had to travel to distant hospitals for major procedures.
He also issued further instructions to concerned officials to bring continuous improvements in hospital services and reiterated that all available resources would be utilized to ensure the provision of maximum possible healthcare facilities to the public.
