QUETTA:Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) leader Agha Shakeel Ahmed Khuzdari chaired a meeting of nominees and polling agents of Local Government (LG) from different wards of Municipal Corporation Khuzdar at Durrani House on Wednesday.
On this occasion, the candidates and polling agents were briefed regarding their responsibilities during polling of the local body elections to be held on May 29.
Addressing the meeting, Khuzdari and other speakers said that all political, tribal and religious forces had done nothing for the poor masses despite being in power for decades.
He said it was the responsibility of all the political parties to work together for the social as well as economic development of the area and to provide employment opportunities to the locals.
The speakers said that the poor people of Khuzdar would reject the exploitative class in LG polls on May 29.
The meeting was also attended by Mir Asif Jamaldani, Sardar Aziz Mohammad Imrani, Raees Ali Ahmed and others addressed the gathering.
