Dera ismail khan: A team of the Allied Health Professionals Council (AHPC) on Friday visited the Khyber Medical University Institute of Health Sciences (KMU IHS), Dera Ismail Khan, and reviewed the academic, laboratory and clinical training facilities available for students of Allied Health Sciences.
The visit was conducted under the leadership of Dr Anees Afridi and Prof. Dr Qasim, during which the AHPC team carried out a comprehensive inspection of various sections of the institute. The team visited classrooms, laboratories, academic facilities and other infrastructure of KMU IHS DIKhan and reviewed the arrangements in place for providing quality education and practical training to students enrolled in Allied Health Sciences programmes.
The visiting team also inspected the institute’s affiliated teaching hospitals, including Mufti Mahmood Teaching Hospital and District Headquarters Teaching Hospital, DIKhan, to assess the clinical training facilities and arrangements available for students.
During the visit, the AHPC team reviewed the overall academic and clinical learning environment and observed the facilities being provided to students for their practical and professional training.
The institute administration briefed the visiting team about the academic programmes, laboratory facilities, clinical training arrangements and other measures being taken to improve the quality of Allied Health Sciences education.
The institute administration expressed gratitude to the AHPC team for conducting the visit and providing valuable guidance and constructive feedback.
It said the visit would contribute to further strengthening academic standards, clinical training and institutional facilities at KMU IHS DIKhan and help enhance the quality of education and professional preparation of Allied Health Sciences students.
The administration reaffirmed its commitment to continuously improving academic and clinical facilities in line with the relevant standards and requirements for Allied Health education.
