Mansehra: The newly appointed Director General of the Kaghan Development Authority (KDA), Rahmat Ali Wednesday has said that all possible resources will be utilized to promote tourism in the Kaghan Valley, with the aim of attracting tourists at national and international levels and making the authority financially stable through enhanced revenue generation.
He expressed these views while chairing a meeting with senior KDA officers, including Deputy Director Accounts Suhail Khan, Assistant Director Planning Asad Khan, and Assistant Director Technical Zahoor Ahmed. During the meeting, the DG briefed the officers about his vision and future plans for the development of the valley.
Addressing the meeting, Rahmat Ali said that with better planning and effective use of resources, various development projects would be launched to improve the social and economic conditions of local communities. He emphasized that special attention would be given to the construction and rehabilitation of link roads to improve connectivity for residents of the valley.
The DG further stated that projects would also be initiated to promote local agriculture and cultural heritage, which would not only support livelihoods but also enhance the tourism appeal of the region. He added that improving healthcare and education facilities in the valley was among KDA’s key priorities. In this regard, model schools and hospitals would be constructed under the auspices of the Kaghan Development Authority.
Rahmat Ali also assured full cooperation and support for development projects being implemented by provincial departments, including TMO, Public Health, and Communication and Works (CandW), within the jurisdiction of the KDA.
He reiterated that coordinated efforts among all stakeholders were essential to transform the Kaghan Valley into a modern, tourist-friendly, and economically vibrant region, benefiting both visitors and the local population.
