Rawalpindi: Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) conducted three successful operations across the country, arresting three drug suppliers and recovered 36. 8 kilograms of drugs with an estimated value of more than Rs 3. 3 million.
According to an ANF spokesperson, the operation targeting international drug smuggling was conducted at a courier office on Shahrah-e-Faisal in Karachi. Officials intercepted a parcel bound for Australia and recovered 210 grams of opium concealed inside a pair of shoes.
In another operation near the Kala Shah Kaku Toll Plaza, ANF personnel intercepted a vehicle and seized 16. 8 kg of hashish and 3 kg of crystal meth (ice). Three drug pushers were arrested during the operation. Separately, in District Mansehra, ANF recovered 16. 8 kg of hashish from a motorcycle near Balakot Road.
The ANF said cases have been registered against the arrested suspects under the Control of Narcotic Substances Act (CNSA), 1997, and further investigations are underway.
